Arraigo socioformativo (2 years + training)

Residence for exceptional circumstances if you have been in Spain two years and study, or commit to, specific training.

Who it is for

Non-EU nationals with two continuous years in Spain (absences of 90 days at most), no criminal record, enrolled in eligible training.

Where

Foreigners office (Oficina de Extranjería) of your province, or online via Mercurio

Steps

  1. Check that your training qualifies: full-time upper secondary, vocational grade C (levels 1 to 3), in-person compulsory adult education, or Public Employment Service training for hard-to-fill jobs.
  2. Ask your regional government or town hall for the social integration report (informe de integración social).
  3. Gather proof of the two years and criminal record certificates for the last five years.
  4. File EX-10 and pay the fee on form 790, code 052.
  5. Granted: you will have to prove you are doing the training. Read the decision carefully: your deadlines are in it.
